Overview

Changuu, better known as Prison Island, is a short boat ride from Stone Town. It is home to a sanctuary of Aldabra giant tortoises, some well over a century old.

After the tortoises and the old quarantine building, you can snorkel off the island's beach or relax on the sand before the boat brings you back.
