Overview
Mikumi National Park is the easiest Tanzanian safari to reach from Zanzibar. You fly or take the ferry to the mainland and go on game drives in a pop-up roof safari vehicle.
Expect elephants, giraffes, zebras, buffalo and hippos, with a good chance of lions. You stay overnight at a tented camp inside or next to the park.
